Shiluv Program

Study Program for Women in National Service

2 weekly evenings of learning in the Beit Midrash throughout National Service

Bnot Sherut participants in Jerusalem and surrounding areas dedicate time to Torah study at the midrasha. The program includes two evening study sessions per week (Gemara or Tanach), group meetings with a dedicated coordinator, and three group Shabbatonim per year. There is also an option to join additional learning and activities at the beit midrash, such as evening study sessions (mishmarim), Yamei Iyun, Rosh Chodesh prayers, and more.

Sherut Kahalacha: National Service in Accordance with Halacha

An admin-only WhatsApp group designated for National Service participants, where a short and relevant halachic message is posted each week, addressing everyday realities of service in a variety of areas such as kashrut, holidays, Shabbat, prayer, and more. In addition, participants may send personal halachic questions that arise during their service and receive sensitive, thoughtful, and precise responses.

Alumnae Testimonials

״Amid all the intensity of national service, where I encounter people from every sector and across the entire spectrum, the program brings me back to my roots, helps me clarify who I truly am, and allows me to remain connected to a Beit Midrash and a learning community. In addition, our program is integrated into several classes with the rest of the Midrasha, which enables us to learn from a variety of inspiring rabbis and teachers, to become familiar with the Midrasha’s learning style, and to meet the Midrasha students — and in this way, the desire to continue growing in the world of Torah even after service becomes clear.״

״For me, the midrasha is a safe place, a break from the never-ending routine and a moment to recharge in order to continue. I know it’s there whenever I need it. Learning in a chaburah is meaningful—getting to know more girls and amazing teachers, enhancing my year by instilling my fundamental value that the Torah is a Torah of life, and that living well and fully is part of it.״
