Israeli Programs for the Wider Community:
Opening the Gates
“גדול תלמוד שמביא לידי מעשה”
At Nishmat, we are deeply committed to being an open and welcoming Beit Midrash for women, teens, and the broader community.
Each week in our Beit Midrash Chevrati, we explore the connection between halacha and lived practice. Following the learning, our students devote two hours to active service in the community. Students lead projects in the Pat neighborhood, including support for families of reservists, special education initiatives, assistance to bereaved families, chavruta study with senior citizens, weekly Parashat HaShavua classes, chavrutot with teenage girls, and more.
As part of our identity as a community-based Beit Midrash, we also offer a range of programs for women and girls throughout the city, including study series for mothers on maternity leave, pre-holiday learning programs for families, Purim and Chanukah community events, and additional initiatives throughout the year.
